The LPH to Benefit from Tru-Juice 5k

May 08, 2019  |  Kingston

Minister of Health, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, shares a light moment with Mr. Peter McConnell, Chairman of the Management Committee for the Linstead Public Hospital (right) and Mr. Stokley Rose from Tranfit Club during the Tru-Juice 5K Run/Walk & 20K Cycle Media Launch on May 8, 2019.

The Linstead Public Hospital is expected to benefit from proceeds of the 7th staging of the Tru-Juice 5k Run/Walk  and 20 Cycle on June 02, 2019. The money will go towards purchasing equipment for the Linstead Hospital.

Since 2015, the proceeds from Tru-Juice 5k have been donated to the Linstead Hospital as TWCL continues to contribute to the development of the hospital and assist with much needed equipment.   Last year, TWCL handed over a cheque valued at $1 Million to the hospital, which was used to purchase an Infant Warmer and Neopuff Resuscitator.

During the media launch of the Tru-Juice 5K on May 8, 2019,  Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health, emphasized the importance of preventative measures which will lead towards a healthy lifestyle including physical activities and healthy eating habits.
