Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton (centre), Ministry of Health and Wellness shares a light moment with Mr. Peter McConnell (right), Chairman of the Management Committee for the Linstead Public Hospital and Mr. Stokley Rose from Tranfit Club during the Tru-Juice 5K Run/Walk & 20K Cycle Media Launch on May 8, 2019.

The Linstead Public Hospital (LPH) is to benefit from proceeds of the 7th staging of the Tru-Juice 5K Run/Walk  and 20K Cycle on June 02, 2019. The money received will go towards purchasing new equipment for the hospital.

Since 2015, the proceeds from Tru-Juice Cross Country 5K event have been donated to the Linstead Hospital as Trade Winds Citrus Limited (TWCL) continues to contribute to the development of the hospital and assist with the purchase of much needed equipment. Last year, TWCL handed over a cheque valued at $1 Million to the hospital, which was used to purchase an Infant Warmer and Neopuff Resuscitator.

During the media launch of the Tru-Juice 5K on May 8, 2019,  Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, emphasized the importance of preventative measures which will lead towards a healthy lifestyle including physical activities and healthy eating habits.
