The Vector Control Programme within South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) received a major boost with the addition of 13 new vehicles on January 27, 2020. Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness, announced that a total, 60 new vehicles, valued at over $400M were acquired for the regional health authorities. He was speaking at the official handing over ceremony for vector control fleet that was held at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston. These new vehicles are equipped with mounted foggers that will strengthen the dengue control programme as well as rodent vector control activities across the region.
