The Straight Caribbean Spine Foundation (SCSF) recently completed a Medical Mission at the Bustamante Hospital for Children (BHC) where seven patients benefited tremendously from corrective scoliosis surgery. The surgeries took place from November 7 to November 8, 2018.
SCSF is a United States-based charitable organisation founded by Dr. Robert L. Brady to help children with complex spinal conditions in Jamaica. For the past 12 years, SCSF mission team in collaboration with local teams from BHC and the University Hospital of the West Indies has completed over 100 spinal cases in Jamaica.
The Board and Management of the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) and the BHC, by extension, is expressing profound appreciation to the Straight Caribbean Spine Foundation and its medical mission team for providing life-saving scoliosis surgeries to the patients.
