The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) wishes to advise members of the public that the Spanish Town Hospital will over the next five weeks, carry out termite treatment and other improvements at the facility.

Included in the work to be undertaken is the painting, upgrading of lighting, meshing of windows, installation of additional ceiling fans, carpentry and masonry works on the wards. The ground floors of Wards 2 and 3 will be treated and the ceiling areas of wards 5 and 6.

The intended work will mean the temporary relocation of patients.  Patients from Wards 5 and 2 will move into Ward 3 and those from Ward 6 into Ward 5.

During this period, some patients may experience some delays in services and as such the general public is being asked to be understanding as we make the necessary improvements at the institution.
