KPH Hosts its 12 Annual Clinical and Scientific Conference

The Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) hosted its twelfth Annual Clinical and Scientific Conference on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

The conference was held under the theme “The Kingston Public Hospital, "Focusing on the Future of Medicine".

Dr. Justin Grant, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Al Vali Inc, Toronto, Canada, discussed matters highlighting the present and upcoming research that affect the direction of medical practice at KPH, and also the use of artificial intelligence in health-care systems.

The topics that were covered included:

* Patients presenting with Supra-Ventricular Tachycardia in an Urban Emergency Room

*KPH Stroke Registry and best strategies implementation at a Tertiary Institution

* Pharmacotherapy review of Sepsis at KPH

* Gunshot wound extremity fractures and its adverse outcomes
