Seaford Pharmaceuticals Company based in Canada has officially adopted the Glen Vincent Health Centre's Pediatric Unit under the Ministry of Health and Wellness's Adopt-A-Clinic Programme. The symbolic ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the facility.
Seaford Pharmaceuticals has committed $3 million to the centre as part of a three-year partnership agreement. The funds will be used for the renovation of the facility, minor Infrastructure upgrades/maintenance and purchase of much needed equipment.
During the symbolic adoption ceremony held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, CEO and Founder Mr. Ron Seales, Seaford Pharmaceuticals Inc, Canada said that he and his son Mr. Andrew Seales are thrilled to be contributing positively to community based primary health care that serves a large population of Jamaica.
In his address at the ceremony, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Minister of Health and Wellness emphasized the significance of public-private partnership to health and wellness at the community and national levels. He added that staff and patients will feel more secured in a comfortable enhanced facility.
The Glen Vincent Health Centre is the fifth facility within SERHA to benefit tremendously from the project.
