KSA Health Department Temporarily Closed As an Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) wishes to advise the public that one of our employees assigned at the Kingston & St. Andrew (KSA) Health Department has tested positive for COVID-19.  As a precautionary measure, the Department will be temporarily closed on Tuesday (August 18, 2020) to facilitate a deep cleaning exercise of the building.

Sensitization sessions for staff has begun and will continue as necessary. Additionally, persons who have been in immediate contact with the affected employee are being tested and quarantined.

The Health Department is scheduled to re-open for operations on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

Members of the public are being reminded to wear a mask at all times in public spaces, wash hands or sanitize as often as possible and maintain physical distancing of 6ft to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
