Spanish Town Hospital Gets Equipment from the Always Caring and Sharing Initiative

Ms. Lisa Belnavis, Human Resources Manager at Food For the Poor, Jamaica handed over a television to Mrs. Lorraine Brown-Wright, Chief Executive Officer, Port Maria Hospital during the handover session of items and equipment that were donated to the Spanish Town, Black River and Port Maria Hospitals on Tuesday, June 3, 2021. Sharing in the moment from left are: Mr. Omar Francis, Chairman of the Spanish Town Hospital Committee and Ms. Lorna Bansie, representative of the contributing team from the initiative.

On Thursday, June 3, 2021, the Spanish Town, Black River and Port Maria Hospitals received over $1.5 million worth of equipment and items from the "Always Caring and Sharing Initiative."  The equipment included 30 hospital beds, 5 wheelchairs, 5000 masks, 93 gowns for nurses, 1 television set, diapers and other items. Mr. Omar Francis, Chairman of the Spanish Town Hospital Committee, expressed thanks to the local and international donors for the thoughtful generosity that will assist the medical team in the fight against COVID-19. The handover session was held inside the conference room.
