New Drug Serv Pharmacy Opened at Greater Portmore Health Centre

Minister of Health Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton opened the new Drug Serv Pharmacy at Greater Portmore Health Centre in St. Catherine on Friday June 9, 2017. The construction project, which is funded by the National Health Fund (NHF) began in May 2016 and was completed in April of this year. The pharmacy is equipped with five dispensing windows fully and a fully enclosed waiting area among other things.

The Greater Portmore Health Centre is one of four primary care facilities that serve the residents of Portmore. It offers a wide range of health care services including pharmacy, laboratory, family planning, curative and dental. It serves residents from communities such as Hellshire, Portmore Pines and 5 East and West, with a patient load of over 31,000 in 2016.
