The Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre (SJGRC) received a motorised wheelchair from the Simpson's Family in Kingston on Friday, February 9, 2018. The wheelchair, valued at US$5000 was officially handed over to the hospital by Mr. James Simpson and his son Mr. Richard Simpson. Mr. James Simpson explained that he decided to donate the wheelchair, which was briefly used by his late wife Mrs. Monica Simpson to SJGRC so that it can be put to good use.
Dr. Rory Dixon, Senior Medical Officer (SMO), Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre said the wheelchair will be used to train quadriplegic patients.
