Stony Hill Health Centre to be Renovated

Dr. the Hon. The Stony Hill Health Centre in St. Andrew is slated for expansion and renovation. During a contracting signing and groundbreaking ceremony at the facility on Monday, July 16, 2018, Minister of Health, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton noted that the facility will be upgraded at a cost of $59 million through funding from the National Health Fund.

The Stony Hill Health Centres is a type three facility, which serves the residents of Stony Hill and surrounding communities, including Parke Road, Golden Spring, Temple Hall, Essex Hall, Content, Mount Airy, Mount Pleasant, Iron River, Boon Hall, Mount Prospect, New Gardens, Mount James, Hall’s Green, Arthur Leon Drive and Mount Friendship.

Approximately 2,000 patients benefit from services at the Centre each month.

The centre is currently closed in preparation for the renovation work. Services have been relocated to the Golden Spring Health Centre in the parish.
