Project Description:  Reconfiguration of the old Medical Centre to relocate services from the LINAC to accommodate the proposed anaesthetic area and treatment room.

Scope: Preliminary site exploration, demolition, new drywall, undertaking finishes, installation of services, site clean-up.

Next Steps: Transfer services to renovated spaces in old Medical Centre to start work in the LINAC.

Projected Outcome/s:  Undertaking building modification to create an anaesthetic area, creating a treatment room and consultation rooms. Delivery of services with improved efficiency, reliability, quality and comfort courtesy of newly renovated facilities

Project Location: Princess Margaret Hospital, St. Thomas

Project Description: Rehabilitation of the existing corridor by reforming the asphalt surface and its supporting base and sub-base surfaces. The dual entrances will be converted to one-way entrances to exit only.

​

Scope: Excavation, demolition, and scarifying of the existing pavement surfaces along with removal of trees, walkways and steps within the construction zone. Preparation and formation of new
surface with asphaltic concrete and wearing surface, along with
installation of kerb blocks to identify new roadways.  

​

Cost: $$29,265,520.00

Projected Outcome/s:  Improved roadway forming a one-way system that will allow for greater efficiency in movement for the clientele and staff of the Princess Margaret Hospital, the St Thomas Health Department and the Morant Bay Health Centre.

Projected Outcome/s:  The project is Phase 1 of and 2 phase project, with Phase 2 being creation of parking areas for staff and visitors.

Project Description:  To conduct renovation works at the Accident and Emergency Department to increase capacity and patient flow.

​

Scope: The work entails carrying out the construction of a triage area and gazebo, including utilities, masonry, etc.

Scope: Retiling, repainting, replacement of fixtures and fittings, and roof repair, construction of patient waiting area, landscaping and paving.

Cost: JA$27,703,500.00

Current Project Status: 92% Complete. 

Major items of work on the main building and the extension substantially complete. Additional works underway inclusive of:
Paving, landscaping, roof repainting; water storage facility improvement; correction of identified defects.
