The Kingston and St. Andrew Health Department and the National Council for Senior Citizens will be celebrating Caribbean Wellness Day on Thursday, September 12, 2024, with an ageing fair at Emancipation Park, New Kingston.
Caribbean Wellness Day, which will be celebrated under the theme “Power through Collective Action” with a sub-theme “Good Health is Our Right," is an annual event geared towards increasing awareness and promotion measures among CARICOM member states and their populations to fight against non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The ageing fair will commence at 9:00 a.m., where members of the public can benefit from FREE health services, including checks for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, prostate cancer, vaccination and more! There will also be lots of prizes and surprises throughout the day.
